The TIC Program is in line with the National Pre-school Curriculum Standards (2010).
It is based on the belief that children learn in a holistic manner and they do not
divide their learning into bits and pieces. Within the daily schedule, children have
plenty of opportunities to create, explore, develop problem-solving and interaction
skills, learn about concepts through first-hand experiences. Children develop a positive
self-concept through meaningful play activities that are both planned and initiated
by the children. Through this program, children will learn the skills necessary to
succeed in school and life.
The TIC Programme is Based on:
- Concern in relation to promoting all aspects of developmental domains of young children
i.e. social-emotion, language, cognitive, physical, creativity and aesthetic.
- Important outlines of socio-cultural philosophy, which is to scaffold learning with
adults and peers in any learning context.
- Recent brain study which indicates the advantages of early experiences and essential
of play as the medium for learning.
